SIX DAYS IN KOREA

Hello! Long time, no post.

I'm sorry for my lack of blog post lately. I've been busy with life and i just got back from holiday. But don't worry, i already plan a couple pretty exciting post that's going to be up this week :)

On march 28 2014, me and my fam flew to Seoul, South Korea. It was such a lovely short holiday for us. This trip was sort of a last minute holiday plan, because we didn't really have any plan to go to South Korea this year, but my mom kept telling us how she wanted to see and experiencing winter in Korea. But, since this was a last minute plan, and winter season in South Korea ends around the first week of march (our tour guide said that), we didn't really got a chance to experience the snowy cold winter breeze. But we're still going anyway and it's still pretty dang cold from mid march until mid april. Here's a glimpse of our lovely trip to South Korea:

(Day 1 - March 29) We arrived at Incheon International Airport i think around 9 am, met the local tour guide, went to Seoul to see the Blue House, Gyeongbok Palace and National Folklore Museum. After that, the tour bus driver took us to Gimpo Airport to catch our flight to Jeju Island. It only took about 1 hour 5 minutes from Gimpo - Jeju Island. Once we arrived, we visited Dragon Head Rock, Mysterious Road and Teddy Bear Museum (cuteness overload!).
(Day 2 - March 30) Jeju Island tour - Seongsan Sunrise Peak, Seopjikoji, Jeju Mini Land and Alive Museum (Trick Art Museum)
(Day 3 - March 31) Flew back to Gimpo Airport and the tour bus driver drove us to Nami Island (Nami Island is so popular because of the romantic korean drama 'winter sonata' was filmed there). Nami Island is located outside Seoul, or exactly in Gangwon-do. Personally, i think this place is a lot more beautiful during fall/winter. But still it is such a nice place to walk around, have a picnic and enjoy the scenery. And then, another long drive to Mt. Soerak.
(Day 4 - April 1) Mt. Soerak tour - National Park, Kwongeumsung Fortress, Giant Budha Statue. And.... wait for it .... yup! another long drive to Everland. Everland is one of South Korea's theme park. The park was so big that there was always something for everybody, young or old. But unfortunately our local guide only gave us 2 hours to play and explore the park. *what? i know!
(Day 5 - April 2) Seoul City Tour - Shopping, Street food, shopping at Myeongdong (Korean beauty haul will be up soon) :D
(Day 6 - April 3) Another shopping trip to korean grocery market and flew back home :(

There are still a lot of places i want to see and explore in South Korea. Wish I could go back for the second visit. Hope to see you soon, South Korea :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Happy New Year 2014, beautiful people. I know it's a bit late (fyi, today is january 4th) :P
but better late than never right, right? I hope all of you have an amazing new year's eve with your family, friends or your boyfriend/girlfriend. For me, i spent my new year's eve with my parents, sister and brother. I always found that for me, new year's eve is the best time to take a moment to
cherish and spend the night with your loved one, think about all of the things that you've done or haven't done, prepare yourself and make a new plan for the new year.

2013 is such a rough year for me. So many problems, struggled to get a job, made a wrong decisions and dealing with long distance relationship. Though last year felt like a roller-coaster ride for me, there are so many things that i've found i'm grateful for: having such an amazing, supportive boyfriend, family and friends that always there for me, make me feel happy, help me, and support me whenever i feel like such a failure in life. This is truly a blessing for me. I feel so lucky for having them in my life.

Well, life is all about a journey right? I don't know where it'll take me, but i'm so excited to find out. Plus, i feel like i'm a lot stronger now and ready to embrace the new year, new beginnings. A good fresh start.

Here Comes The Rocket Mascara

I love and i have tried almost all of Maybelline's mascara, so when i saw the ads of this mascara on my twitter, i immediately ran to the store and bought it. On the packaging, this mascara claims to have an explosive volume that extend and clump-free. So, what i'm expecting this mascara to do is it can give me.... of course, an explosive volume and a little bit of length to my lashes.

The formula of this mascara is absolutely beautiful. It's Long-lasting (around 8 hours), lengthening, and separating my lashes.

One Coat:

This mascara worked well on my eyes. It makes eyes look so pretty and wide awake open. It's coating my lashes evenly and i don't see any clumps. Which is awesome :D

Beside that, this mascara gives me a lot more length than i was expecting. It makes my lashes look super long and spidery.

Volume wise... well it's volumizing, but it didn't gave me the explosive volume lashes that it claims. And it's not as volumizing as the Maybelline's Magnum Mascara that i love love love.

Rp 85.000,-

The only problem that i have is, this mascara wand is really thick, it has a short plasticky bristles and i have a small eyes. So it's really hard to get to the inner lashes. But surprisingly, even though the wand is so big, this mascara worked fairly well for my bottom lashes.

I think this mascara is perfect for someone who has short lashes. Because this mascara can make your short-not-so-pretty eyelashes looking amazingly long and pretty. So, if you have a short lashes and you want to extend them, i would definitely recommended this mascara.
Or if you have a normal length or long lashes already (lucky you) and you wanted to make your lashes look even prettier, longer and nicer, then try it. It's amazing!

NYX Powder Blush: Mocha

"I recently bought this NYX blush in Mocha. And i'm seriously in LOVE - A"

I don't know why they named this blush Mocha, because there's definitely no correlation between the name and its actual color. NYX's Mocha is a beautiful matte deep rosy pink. I think this color will be perfect for the colder month (F/W). It'll give you the alive and fresh looking face.

Nyx blushes have a smooth texture, glides on smooth, great pigmentation, easy to blend and of course affordable. When you use this blush, make sure that you use it with a light hand or dip your blush brush and blend it on the back of your hand before you put it on your cheeks. That will make sure that you didn't put too much blush on. Otherwise you may end up looking like a clown. *not cute*
Well personally, i think the best way to put on any type of blush is by building the color. So you can control the amount of color that you put on your cheeks. Its a lot easier to build up the color rather than to take the blush off.

For me, the staying power is great! This blush stays put on my cheeks from 10:30 am until 11 pm (12 hours). Considering the weather in my country is kind of hot and humid, this blush is seriously passed the test.

If you're looking for an affordable and great blush, i'd definitely recommended NYX blushes. You'll love it :)
