Hello! Long time, no post.
I'm sorry for my lack of blog post lately. I've been busy with life and i just got back from holiday. But don't worry, i already plan a couple pretty exciting post that's going to be up this week :)
On march 28 2014, me and my fam flew to Seoul, South Korea. It was such a lovely short holiday for us. This trip was sort of a last minute holiday plan, because we didn't really have any plan to go to South Korea this year, but my mom kept telling us how she wanted to see and experiencing winter in Korea. But, since this was a last minute plan, and winter season in South Korea ends around the first week of march (our tour guide said that), we didn't really got a chance to experience the snowy cold winter breeze. But we're still going anyway and it's still pretty dang cold from mid march until mid april. Here's a glimpse of our lovely trip to South Korea:
(Day 1 - March 29) We arrived at Incheon International Airport i think around 9 am, met the local tour guide, went to Seoul to see the Blue House, Gyeongbok Palace and National Folklore Museum. After that, the tour bus driver took us to Gimpo Airport to catch our flight to Jeju Island. It only took about 1 hour 5 minutes from Gimpo - Jeju Island. Once we arrived, we visited Dragon Head Rock, Mysterious Road and Teddy Bear Museum (cuteness overload!).
(Day 2 - March 30) Jeju Island tour - Seongsan Sunrise Peak, Seopjikoji, Jeju Mini Land and Alive Museum (Trick Art Museum)
(Day 3 - March 31) Flew back to Gimpo Airport and the tour bus driver drove us to Nami Island (Nami Island is so popular because of the romantic korean drama 'winter sonata' was filmed there). Nami Island is located outside Seoul, or exactly in Gangwon-do. Personally, i think this place is a lot more beautiful during fall/winter. But still it is such a nice place to walk around, have a picnic and enjoy the scenery. And then, another long drive to Mt. Soerak.
(Day 4 - April 1) Mt. Soerak tour - National Park, Kwongeumsung Fortress, Giant Budha Statue. And.... wait for it .... yup! another long drive to Everland. Everland is one of South Korea's theme park. The park was so big that there was always something for everybody, young or old. But unfortunately our local guide only gave us 2 hours to play and explore the park. *what? i know!
(Day 5 - April 2) Seoul City Tour - Shopping, Street food, shopping at Myeongdong (Korean beauty haul will be up soon) :D
(Day 6 - April 3) Another shopping trip to korean grocery market and flew back home :(
There are still a lot of places i want to see and explore in South Korea. Wish I could go back for the second visit. Hope to see you soon, South Korea :)
XO, A
